large engineering products and services company operates both within
and outside India with 26 branches and 350 stockists. Only a small
portion of its stockist and branches used to exchange business documents
such as Indents, Delivery Notes, Order information and Stock Position
Via SWAN (Switchgear Wide Area Network) and its own network. |

| The firm required
an easy, reliable and rapid way of communication between its branches
and stockists. And it should have the capability of exchanging its
business documents in a cost-effective and efficient way. |

| MeCOM
delivered a solution that aimed at automating the file exchange
procedure. This service enabled the company branches and stockists
to exchange business documents from a source to any one or more
destinations. |
| Users
store documents that are required to send in a predefined local
directory. The file exchange software enables the transmission of
documents from a predefined directory to the nearest MeCOM
Hub. These documents are then uploaded to the mapped directory for
the respective stockist at MeCOM
Hub. Stockists log in to MeCOM Hub
to download those documents which are addressed to them. |
